Fig. No. 17. The excavations made in collaboration with the British team from the Edinburgh University. The works were co-ordinated by V. Boroneant and Clive Bonsall. The back ground shows the pump absorbing water from the Danube for supplying the installation used for washing the excavated earth, the sorting screen of the material for studying the fauna, the micro-fauna and the paleo-flora. Next to it we can see the surveillance station of the level-metres and of the instruments for recording the depth. The foreground shows Schela Cladovei-type dwellings before the discovery of the skeletons. The southwestern part shows the Dacian dwelling from the 4th-3rd centuries BC.
