A historic monument, Ghica-Comăneşti Palace was built in 1880, in the Late Baroque style, by Italian craftsmen. In 1988, the palace was transferred to the county museum, that organized in a wing the Ethnographic and Folk Art Exhibition from the Trotuş Valley, opened in 1989, and in 1995, the Contemporary Romanian Fine Arts Exhibition. The collection includes items illustrating the traditional crafts and winter customs from the same area, trades, domestic industry interior fabrics, and traditional costumes.
