An architectonic monument, the Cantacuzino Palace, was built between 1898 and 1900. Until 1907, when the great musician made it his home, the building was used in various ways. In 1967, Maria Cantacuzino - Enescu, George. Enescu's widow, donated the building to the Romanian state to be transformed into a museum of music. The exhibits include the manuscripts of Enescu's compositions, his violins and pianos, his original furniture, his musical library, paintings, decorative objects, letters, photographs and other documents regarding the musician's activity. The museum owns goods listed in the National Cultural Heritage Treasure.
