The collections include artefacts from the Botoşani ethnographic area, relating to trades (agriculture, animal breeding, hunting, fishing, bee keeping) and traditional crafts (pottery), folk costumes from the territory of the county and folk customs. The museum also owns a collection donated by Maria and Nicolae Zahacinschi comprising folk costumes, towels, pottery, dyed eggs from other ethnographic areas of Romania.
