"Trinity, Great Saint Dimitrie" Răteşti Monastery was built on the ruins of a basilica. It is located at 30 km NW of Buzău, and organised like a village of nuns. It was founded before 1634 and has a collection of icons, rare books, embroideries and cult objects. The church painting is also special.
