The museum was established by the priest Teodor Cudriţescu in 1956 when the new parish church was dedicated. The old parish church shelters a collection of wooden icons and lithographs from the 17th - 19th centuries; three epitaphs from the 19th century; a seraph from the 19th century, chandeliers, candles and candlesticks from the 19th and 20th centuries, cloth embroidered with golden silver thread from the 19th century, ark, cross from the 19th century, disk, chalice and small star from the 18th century, buckles from the 19th century, religious books from 1784 - 1893 arranged in windows. The building is small, as it is the first church of the Meria village. It is built of beams and cl...ay, on a stone foundation. Until 1956 mass was held regularly in this church.
