The museum was set up in the house where the writer and publicist Elek Benedek, who was the founder of Hungarian children literature, a great storyteller and a collector of Seckler folklore, lived. The exhibit portrays his life and his creations (all first editions, as well as reprinted books). Within the house, where a descendant of the writer currently resides, the public can visit the office and living room where all the genuine objects have been preserved.
