The collection is known also under the name of the "Museum of Amber". It is located in a folk style house, built in 1973 - 1974 and refurbished in 1981 and 1983. In 2019-2020 it was entirely renovated. The new permanent exhibition was reopened on August 21, 2020. It houses a rich iconographic material, tools, instruments, amber samples, documents, photographs, jewels from the modern and contemporary ages, ethnographic artefacts and folk art items: decorative pieces (towels), costumes and furniture weaving tools, domestic utensils, shepherding and agricultural artefacts.
