The museum was set up at the initiative of Iustin Lehonschi, a young man from the village, who at the age of 14 could not find folk costumes for the holidays. Thus, he began to collect and host objects that he kept from his ancestors, in order to preserve and promote them. The collection was first exhibited in Iustin's house, and in 2018, the local authorities offered him the building of the former primary school in the village. The building has two main rooms, the first illustrating the Romanian peasant's household, with village activities (carpentry, weaving, shepherding, agriculture), and the second is dedicated to folk costume. Among the pieces on display here is a folk costume specif...ic to the village of Miron Costin, according to the details on the clothes. The last room, smaller in size, brings together objects from two areas: religious area, related to spirituality, and war area, with military objects. The ethnographic collection gathers over 3000 exhibits.
