The Magura Sculpture Camp is a unique open-air museum in Europe, covering an area of 21 ha, near the Ciolanu Monastery. The exhibition includes stone sculptures executed between 1970-1986 by high school students or graduates of the Academy of Architecture in Bucharest, at the initiative of the sculptor Gheorghe Coman. In the 16 years, 163 sculptors worked in Măgura, as a result of which 256 stone works remained, donated to the county by the creators, during a festivity, representing the largest national outdoor sculpture ensemble in the country. Unfortunately, the sculptures were not marked for a while so that visitors could know the author and the title of the work. Curre...ntly, each sculpture has a tablet with an identification number. At the entrance to the camp you can see the names of the sculptors and the numbers of their works.
