On November 25, 1878, the teacher Luca Paul, a great personality of the time, established the first certified rural library in the country in Domneşti commune, a library that today bears his name and which has a beautiful and particularly valuable museum section with exhibits of heritage value : Old book VII-XIX century ("Flower of Gifts", "Snagov" - year 1700, "Mystirio Sacrament" - year 1651, "Minei", "Octoih", "Evanghelia" - year 1729), icons painted on wood, century XVI-XIX (Icon "St. John the Baptist" and "The Mother of God with the Child", year 1518-1519). In the Domneşti Museum Section, art obje...cts from the medieval period, contemporary plastic art, metalwork and medal work, collected by the "Luca Paul" Cultural Society decades ago, through the efforts of priests Ion Radomirescu and Grigore Venescu, are also exhibited, as well as and plastic artist Ion Susală. Also, in Domneşti we can find a special ethnographic collection, which includes items of popular wear specific to the area, such as the kerchief woven from thin borangic threads, the mocăneasca shirt (specific to Domnisani pastors), an old man's fota from the end of the 19th century, such as and specific tools related to traditional occupations such as shepherding, fruit growing, woodworking and "home industry": winnowers, whorls, wool combs, spinning forks.
