The building is a monument of folk architecture, built at the end of the 19th century, that houses original folk interior furniture from the beginning of the 20th century, personal belongings, photographs, facsimiles, books belonging to Ecaterina Teodoroiu, a young school teacher who died as a volunteer during the battle of Mărăşeşti (1917), in World War I.
