The Zoological Garden is located in Trivale Park. The park stretches over 7,000 hectares, and was set up in 1990. In 1939 Trivale Forest was declared a monument of nature. The land ranges from flat to steep, as the altitude ranges between 290 m (Argeş rivermeadow) and 430 m in Plaiul Foii.
